Robin Hood: Robbers Hand Out 240 Loaves of Bread After Failing to Open Safe

- A group of alleged thieves hi-jacked a bread delivery van with the intention of getting the cash inside

- The alleged robbers were unable to access the safe and handed out the bread to locals instead

- Reaction Unit SA (RUSA) revealed that the robbers distributed the bread to locals saying that "Christmas had come early"

Alleged robbers hijacked a bread delivery vehicle belonging to a bakery in the hopes of getting at the cash in the safe.

However, they were unable to open the safe, instead, they distributed the bread to local residents near Mawothi and told them that "Christmas had come early."

A local security company Reaction Unit SA (RUSA) answered a distress call from a driver of a Hyundai H100.

The driver was not harmed:

"He explained that while delivering bread in the area a white Toyota Avanza drove up to him and his assistant. One person produced a firearm and forced him to get into the vehicle and drive to an alternate location. The assistant managed to flee and contacted his employer."

The driver was forced to drive to another location. They were unable to access the cash in the van, instead, they ordered the driver to offload the 240 loaves of bread to locals.

Earlier, Briefly News reported that the South African Police Services have released images of two suspects who are linked with the recent burglary at the offices of the Commission into State Capture.

Media reports surfaced earlier this week that police in Gauteng are probing a business robbery following a burglary at the offices of the Judicial Commission of Inquiry into Allegations of State Capture on Saturday.

It was reported that the Gauteng police spokesperson Colonel Noxolo Kweza confirmed that they had launched an investigation but could not divulge more details, saying they would be released at a later stage.

In other news, a recent clip shared online shows just how bad crime has become in South Africa. In the clip that was shared by @YusufAbramjee, a man and a woman get robbed in broad daylight by an armed thug.
