800m world champion Caster Semenya has added one more feather to her incredible cap of achievements — a Diploma in Sports Science.
The star athlete shared the inspiring news on Twitter and Instagram on Monday, 13 March, Briefly.co.za established.
She posted a picture of herself in her graduation gown and cap with the caption, "#mamaimadeit." As can be expected, she struck her signature winning pose.
Caster obtained her diploma from North West University, Potchefstroom, after months of juggling her track events and her studies.
Just recently, she made history by breaking the South African 1,000m record that had stood for a whopping 35 years.
Social media has been abuzz with congratulations for Caster. Her wife, Violet Raseboya, was the first to praise her. Writing on Instagram, she said:
She builds and inspire others because she knows what it's like to be torn down. Never give up in life no matter what. She is my inspiration. Mokgadi gotapa golema go ja lephala le Bashumi. Congrats Wewe.
