Al Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane has told the Egyptian giants that he is not interested in taking the Bafana Bafana coaching job.

This comes as the South African Football Association was set to announce the new coach last week but reports indicate that their target, Carlos Queiroz has turned down the job offer.

Media reports also suggested that Sports Minister Nathi Mthwathwa was also pushing to secure Mosimane’s signature, but the former Mamelodi Sundowns boss is not interested.

According to KickOff, the five-time Premier Soccer League winner has had a meeting with Ahly president Mahmoud El-Khatib and indicated his interest in the Red Devils. El-Khatib is quoted:

"Mosimane spoke of the administration’s strong adherence to him, and there is a state of affection that the coach realises when he has a project for which he has come to complete.”

With SAFA seemingly failing to land Mosimane and Queiroz’s signatures, reports suggest that Benni McCarthy is the last option for the embattled football governing body.

Phakaaathi has it that former Cameroon coach and Belgian national, Hugo Broos stands a good chance to succeed Molefi Ntseki.

The website reports that the man who led the Indomitable Lions to the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations glory in Gabon stands a great chance to get the job.

However, SAFA Head of Communications Dominic Chimhavi said there was no decision on the new manager yet:

“Nothing had been decided yet, we are still finalising the new coach.”

In other news, Briefly News reported that ex-Bafana coach Molefi Ntseki's future was a subject of speculation, many fans were already calling for coach Mosimane's return.

The national team coach has failed to guide the 1996 African champions to the 2021 Caf African Cup of Nations after recently losing 2-0 to Sudan.

In the wake of that disappointing result, Ntseki also expressed heartbreak as he was fully aware the nation has been let down, but the football fraternity was already looking at having a more experienced manager.
