Church leaders hope that Skolopad will find Jesus after announcing her plans to sing Gospel

Social media users are trying to work out how Skolopad plans to sing gospel. Skolopad made an announcement that she plans to start singing gospel music.

Deborah Fraser, a gospel artist, says that the move might have a positive influence on Skolopad and she might become a true believer.

“God wants everyone as they are. Once you are in him, he will teach you his ways,” said Deborah.

Briefly.co.za learned that Sphumelele Mbambo, a former member of Joyous Celebration, said that this was an example of how God works, she says that God is responsible for influencing Skolopad's decision according to dailysun.co.za.

“When you go to school, you find yourself wearing a school uniform, meaning Skolopad might find herself changing and becoming a real believer,” she said.

The winner of the I Want to Sing Gospel talent competition in 2011, Nhlakanipho Cele, said people should not judge but rather let God's light shine through Skolopad.

Skolopad has become notorious for her provocative dancing and skimpy outfits, which is why social media users are having a hard time believing that Skolopad really plans to sing gospel.

“Gospel artists are usually invited to sing in churches so if that happens, I won’t go to church in revealing clothes.” The singer said in response to how she would dress in church.

Pastor Ncebo Mazibuko, of the Faith in Christ Bible Church, said that Saul used to hunt and kill Christians until he found God and changed his name. If Saul could change he believes that Skolopad can too.
