A South African man, Mbakiso Makhwade Magwape left many people inspired after he shared with Facebook's Varsity World a heartwarming celebratory post about finally receiving his Doctoral degree.

"Colleagues, friends, It brings me great joy to announce that I was conferred with the degree ‘Doctor of Laws’ during a Virtual graduation on the 14th April 2021.

"On a personal level, it is a testament of resilience more than an academic title. It brings with it an opportunity for me to serve my Country, Region and Africa with more influence and distinction in technical International Trade Law and Tax Law roles. I am a technocrat after-all. I was born into a family of technocrats. We have served our Country. We will continue doing so.
