Former Bafana Bafana captain Steven Pienaar enjoyed a well-deserved vacation with his family in Dubai soon after announcing his retirement from football.
Pienaar shared photos and video clips of the holiday on his Instagram page, Briefly.co.za gathered.
He shared the first photo on 4 March while travelling to Dubai and captioned it:
Thanks Almighty God for all the blessings in the past, present and future. #travel see the [world].
He followed it up with a video in which he is seen relaxing by the poolside and soaking in the sun.
Pienaar even said he's already missing the game and asked for suggestions for a Sunday league he could join.
The soccer star posted another picture of himself having breakfast with his daughter. The famous Burj Al Arab is seen in the background:

Pienaar, 35, announced his retirement from football on 1 March. He made 60 appearances for Bafana Bafana and hundreds more for top flight clubs in Europe and South Africa.
