A groom recently suffered a big embarrassment after his wife-to-be dumped him at the alter for being unable to count in twos. According to a post made on Facebook by @sunehanewspaper, the bride wanted to test whether the man was lying or not about his qualifications.

"The groom, all decked up, reached the wedding hall on Saturday evening with his 'baraat' but the bride, who was suspicious of his educational qualifications, asked him to recite table of 2, before the garlands could be exchanged. The groom failed to recite the table and the marriage was called off," the post reads, and then goes on to say:

"Members of the two families and several villagers had gathered at the marriage venue. Just as the wedding was about to be solemnised, the bride walked out of the mandap, saying she cannot marry a person who does not know the basics of mathematics. Friends and relatives failed to convince the bride."

Family members of the bride then disclosed that the groom had kept his educational background a secret. They added that they don't even think the man had attended any school at all. One family member even said that the family felt like it had been cheated by the groom's family since it was an arranged wedding.
