A dramatic video that surfaced on social media a few weeks is finally a man that has impressed many through his courage, we take a look at his background.
In an action-packed clip that appeared online similar to a thrilling movie, as reported on by Briefly News, the man was seen fending off thugs in attempted cash-in-transit heist.
The driver, now identified as Leo Prinsloo, was calm and extremely courageous as he outwitted would-be robbers during a highly-charged cash-in-transit heist attempt on Thursday, 22 April.

Prinsloo and his partner were attacked by an unknown number of people and fired upon. The bullet impact marks were visible on the bulletproof glass of the armoured vehicle.
According to The Citizen, the veteran security officer is a former member of the SAPS Special Task Force and head instructor for Fortis Pro Active Defence’s Lone Operator courses.
It is reported that Prinsloo is the founder and owner of The Edge Shooting Academy in Centurion, next to Tshwane.

According to the website, Prinsloo’s shooting academy offers a wide range of services including sniper training, military and police training and tactical firearm training, among other services.

The Citizen also has it that Prinsloo is not yet available to conduct media interviews, hence the matter is still under investigation by law enforcement agencies.
In other stories, Briefly News reported that Prinsloo’s partner appeared to be in shock at the situation.
Their CIT van looked like it was stuck but the veteran driver still bravely exited the vehicle with his rifle. The incident took place on 22 April on the N4 and the attackers did not get any of the money from the van.
According to a statement from police spokesperson Brigadier Vishnu Naidoo, the driver exited the vehicle to wait for the robbers but they had fled the scene, perhaps luckily for them.
