On Friday, NPA boss Shaun Abrahams announced the National Prosecuting Authority would be charging Jacob Zuma with fraud, corruption and money laundering, just to name a few.
This followed the Supreme Court of Appeal overturning the 2009 ruling, which withdrew all charges against the former head of state.
Briefly.co.za reported earlier Zuma would be facing 18 charges of fraud, corruption and money laundering, which is connected to 783 payments from his former advisor Shabir Shaik.
The announcement came after five senior state prosecutors examined Zuma's reasons why he should not be prosecuted, but apparently his reasons were not good enough.
Since Abrahams' announcement, tweeps took to social media to give their opinion on Zuma finally going to have his day in court.
Briefly.co.za gathered 10 tweets that showed exactly how South Africans feel about Zuma's prosecution:
Some were against Zuma being prosecuted, dragging in the Apartheid leaders.
However, a lot of people were overjoyed at the news of Zuma finally getting his day in court.
