For those thinking Musa Mseleku's third wife is pretending for the show, she is not.

MaKhumalo recently said claims that she over-compensates for the sake of the show was nonsense.

TimesLIVE reported the beloved wife of the polygamist millionaire said she was who she was, regardless of what fans of the show thought.

"I won't change who I am for the sake of the reality show. What people see there is my true character. It is who I am. People who are always with me, they know and I am not interested in going around trying to paint a different picture of who I am.", she said defending herself.

Briefly.co.za learned the "People's wife" said it was normal for good wives to compromise for the sake of their families.

She said as a married woman, she knows she needs to compromise. MaKhumalo said sacrifices and compromises were part of the journey to build a family

"I value my family and would much rather have people close to my heart happy and at ease to spend time with me. The whole point of a polygamous lifestyle is to create an environment where all of us can find a way to be happy.", she said.

Mrs Mseleku explained she did not care what people thought of her, adding life was way to short to stress over others' opinions.

MaKhumalo said she made the decision to be happy in life a long time ago, adding it was her responsibility to be joyous.

And, to those who do not get her 'happy soul', she does not care.
