Stereotypical dynamics in romantic relationships have often held human beings back from being their authentic selves. One Gauteng man has asked Mzansi to put an end to these prescribed gender roles in a post that has since been liked hundreds of times on Twitter.

The impassioned Twitter user, @Colourphuza took to the platform very matter-of-factly and wrote:

"I want a relationship with no Gender Roles. We both Hustle. We both pay bills.We both cook. We both clean and spoil each other."

Heading online, the man with the Twitter handle, @BongaGwengu shared how he had regretted messing up his relationship. In the touching post, Bonga owns up to the fact that the relationship ended up wrecked as a result of his actions - especially in the last seven months of the two-year-long relationship, he explained in the post.

"I once dated someone for 2 years... The last 7 months of the relationship were a nightmare. Me being the reason for the downfall. Still regret that shit until today.
"I remember the last day vividly... A day I will regret as long as I live. I know myself now and I've learnt to take responsibility for my own actions and not what anyone has done to me," he wrote sadly.
