Connie Chiume still unemployed since the release of "Black Panther"

Since the release of the blockbuster movie Black Panther, South African actress Connie Chiume been jobless. She played a mining elder in the film but despite the attention the film received she had not found any work.

“Maybe it is still early‚ the film only came out a few weeks ago‚ or maybe there is nothing in the pipeline in this country but so far there has not been anything." learned that Chiume is prepared to travel to where the work is. Connie has opened her own acting school and is offering workshops for young actors. She plans to hold acting workshops in America in July.

She is hoping for a chance to feature in the upcoming Black Panther sequel which Marvel confirmed this week.

“I would walk across the sea if that’s what it took. I would love nothing more than to return to Wakanda and play the role again."

“Hopefully‚ I will have more of a prominent role as the mining elder but I would jump at the chance to be part of the project again.”
