'Generations' actress Abigail Kubeka assaulted by taxi driver

- Mzansi veteran musician and actress Abigail Kubeka was involved in a nasty altercation recently, which resulted in her being physically assaulted by a taxi driver

- Police confirmed that a case of common assault had been opened by Kubeka at the Orlando police station

Mzansi actress, Abigail Kubeka, was allegedly assaulted by a taxi driver in Orlando, Gauteng recently. She had been on the road in her own vehicle and an altercation started after a minor accident.

According to ZAlebs, the Generations: The Legacy actress was punched in her face after futile attempts at apologising to a taxi driver.

It is unknown how the drama unfolded but according to reports by the Sowetan, the two drivers were both in the wrong but when Abigail apologised, the taxi driver in question did not accept it.

It is believed passengers allegedly intervened in the hopes of protecting the elderly Abigail from further harm. The legendary actress and musician suffered injuries to her upper body and face.

Twitter users, @Sunday_Dear and @etm811 shared heart-breaking photos of the veteran musician revealing her bruised face.

Provincial police spokesman Brigadier Mathapelo Peters confirmed that a case of common assault had been opened at Orlando police station.

“It is alleged that the complainant was involved in an accident with a taxi at a traffic circle near Orlando. It is alleged that the driver of the taxi alighted and assaulted the complainant,” said Peters.

Meanwhile two days ago, Briefly.co.za reported that local actor, Andile Gumbi, is fighting for his life after he suffered a heart attack while working in Israel.

The actor was admitted to Shaare Zedek Medical Centre, according to ZAlebs, and he was resuscitated but is now in a coma. The Shaare Zedek Medical Center is a major hospital in Jerusalem and the best of care is assured.

Andile, a former Isibaya actor, had been working on Daniel The Musical, a theatre production in which he plays the role of King Nebu.
