A farmer and trainee sangoma, Fritz "Majeke" Joubert committed a horrible crime that left South Africa shocked to the core. The horrific incident took place on small farm near Gonubie on Saturday.
Joubert murdered a 40-year-old traditional healer, Anele Hoyana, and held his wife and children hostage.
According to Dispatch LIVE, the two men died during a traditional ceremony. However, according to a woman, Teressa Madosi, Hoyana and his family were temporarily residing on Joubert's farm.
Madosi claims the men were socialising together in the early morning hours when an argument broke out and turned physical.
The lady further said Joubert assaulted Hoyana with his fists and a riffle. Hoyana's cousin, Tembu Rumbu, revealed on Twitter that he was on the farm to perform a cleansing ritual.
News24 confirmed both versions of the story, reporting that Hoyana and his family were living temporarily on Geluksdal farm and a traditional ceremony was underway when all hell broke loose.
Eastern Cape police Captain Hazel Mqala said: "The farm owner assaulted this 40-year-old male friend with his fists and a rifle butt, resulting in the victim sustaining severe head injuries."
A heart-breaking video of the father of two's lifeless body was posted online.

In another video posted on Joubert's Facebook page, he details overcoming "satan" - a term he used to refer to Hoyana.
Joubert made bizarre and violent statements in the video, calling himself the "chosen one" and referring to himself as a god.
More video footage showed Joubert calling Hoyana "satan" while calling himself the "king of Africa".
In the clip, Joubert reveals he lured "satan" into his home to punish him accordingly.
Briefly.co.za learned the police were called to the scene, where they allegedly found Hoyana's two-week-old baby and two-year-old toddler locked inside a bathroom.
At one point, Joubert reportedly tried to disarm the officer and ended up getting shot, resulting in his death.
