On Monday, parts of Gauteng were flooded due to the heavy rainfall. According to the South African, Centurion was hit the hardest but surrounding areas have also been submerged underwater.
South Africans flooded social media with photos and videos, showing the extent of the damage caused by the heavy rainfall.
Yusuf Abramjee posted a video of the Lake Hotel in Centurion. Briefly.co.za saw the entire hotel was under water, as the rain water piping burst.

Reporter Heidi Giokos shared a video of the "really bad flooding" in Centurion.
SABC posted more photos of the flooding in Gauteng, advising people to be careful on the roads.
South Africa has been plagued with severe weather for the past couple of weeks. Briefly.co.za previously reported that floods and a tornado in KwaZulu-Natal were caught on camera.
The severe storms at the time prompted the Department of Education to close schools to ensure the safety of minors.
