International sports legend, Kobe Bryant, passed away early on Sunday, 26 January.

He was in a helicopter when there was a fire and it spiralled out of control. Briefly.co.za reported that Kobe was travelling with 4 other passengers.

One of them is believed to have been the basketball player's 13-year-old daughter.

While an investigation into the horrible crash and its cause is ongoing, fans have been sharing their sadness on social media.

Kobe is praised as one of the best to ever play basketball and his untimely death has touched people from all over the world.

South African celebs joined millions of others who shared their emotions on social media.

Celebs such as Cassper Nyovest used the social media platform to let their fans and the rest of the world know that their hearts are broken.

Cassper said:
