Man dumped on Valentine's Day for supporting the EFF at SONA

A man has taken to social media to share screenshots of messages his bae sent him on Valentine's Day. He revealed she dumped him because he supported the EFF's behaviour at the State of the Nation Address (SONA).

The SONA was on Thursday night and South Africans were left divided on the proceedings, especially on the behaviour of the EFF.

Briefly.co.za reported the EFF disrupted the SONA, delaying it for more than an hour. Some dragged Juju's party while others showed them unwavering support.

One man agreed with the EFF's behaviour and it cost him his relationship. Social media user, @EraError, revealed his girlfriend left him because he supported the EFF.

He captioned the post:

"I just got dumped on Valentine's Day because I supported what the EFF did at SONA. WTF."

Social media users felt the lady wanted to leave him and she was just looking for an excuse to get out of the relationship.

Twitter user, @selebogojane, commented:

"Nah she always wanted to leave but didn't know how. What a lame excuse to leave someone."

Another tweep, @Sbusi_Thusi, added:

"She has plans, and those plans don't involve you."
