One of Mzansi's best-loved icons, Vinoliah Mashego, has passed away at age 57.
The Mashego family confirmed the sad news today.
Mashego is said to have passed away suddenly in her sleep.

The star had recently being back on TV screens as a presenter on one of the Moja Love TV channel's shows.
People around the country are devastated at the sudden loss of the beautiful Mashego, who was also an accomplished actress.
She was one of the original cast members of Generations and enjoyed a long stint presenting the super-popular Friday night youth show, Jam Alley.
One tweep wrote, "Rest in peace, V-Mash. Heaven has gained an angel."
Maverick Ndlovu said, "Iyo bangani iyo! She owned Friday night television. V-Mash was good at this presenting thing. Trailblazer and icon. May your soul rest in power. RIP V-Mash."
Another tweep said, "Ama2000s will never understand the awesomeness of Jam Alley. It was my dream to eat a Jam Alley choc car. Rest in peace V-Mash."
Ray Mosoeu wrote, "One of the best memories I'll forever cherish is listening to her in the make-up room at the studio about how Mabrrr and her had so much fun."
"And she'd say, 'Ouh how I miss that woman.' Now we're going to live on that peak of 'Ouh how we miss V-Mash.'"
Mokone Dlamini called Mashego the original It girl of Mzansi and very deservedly so.
The star is survived by her son.
Rest in peace, V-Mash.
