South Africans are not happy with the South African Music Awards this year and are calling for the awards show to be cancelled.

A lot of people are unhappy with the fact that some artists have not received nominations such as Master KG.

Social media users started a hashtag that demands that #SAMA26MustFall and shared their thoughts online.

Briefly.co.za reported that DJ Zinhle did not reveal what she thought of the SAMA nominations but kept that to herself. Given the fact that she was nominated for Record Of The Year (ROTY) for her single "Umlilo" with DJ Mvzzle it is understandable why she is keeping quiet.

However, this did not stop a tweep who was upset about Master KG being snubbed by The SAMAS.

The social media user took the opportunity to troll DJ Zinhle and accused her of buying her SAMA nomination.

In other news, Briefly.co.za reported that Makhadzi has expressed her disappointment at not being nominated for a SAMA award this year. The Limpopo musician took to social media to congratulate nominees but also to express sadness at being snubbed.

She said that she had submitted her work but sadly she just didn't make the cut.

The list of nominees was released for the first-ever virtual South African Music Awards nomination, and sadly Makhadzi and her boo Master KG were not included.
