Pearl Thusi has expressed her support towards the call by Nigerians to end police brutality in their country. The hashtag #EndSars has been trending on social media as Nigerians alleged that the special police force has been abusing their power.
Mzansi media personality, Pearl Thusi, has shown her support to the cause by taking to Instagram to add her voice. The gorgeous actress posted an image depicting 3 raised fists along with the caption:
"The movement continues... from the USA, South Africa, Nigeria and all around the world...Let’s lend each other support and fight this oppression together!#endSARS #ENDSARSNOW #endsarsbrutality #ISTANDWITHTHENIGERIANPEOPLE #IAMANAFRICAN"Noxolo Mathula, Uzalo's Lily, bought herself a house for R1.8million
Pearl limited the comments to her post as she often receives backlash from South Africans for supporting Nigeria more than her own country, according to some.
Briefly.co.za had previously reported that Pearl Thusi has been receiving constant shade ever since she stood up for foreign nationals living in Mzansi. The foreign nationals' topic is a touchy one in Mzansi that holds a lot of hate, hurt and inequality.
Briefly.co.za saw how Pearl was pulled through the mud when she stood up for foreign nationals who were suffering during lockdown as they were not given access to relief or even food parcels. Raising her concerns and showing her support has only gotten Pearl into the firing line when it comes to the majority of Mzansi.
People felt that Pearl should support her own people, not foreign nationals, and feels if she wants to then she should move. Things escalated quickly with rumours going around claiming Pearl was in a relationship with a Nigerian man.Black Coffee, Cassper & others call for end to violence in Nigeria
With the trending hash tag #NigeriaMustFall, it has only made people even more furious and led to them telling Pearl to get out of Mzansi and take go live in Nigeria where she belongs. It didn’t help that Pearl took on a name that her Nigerian fans gave her either.
