Woman Tells How Her Father's Bone Was Used to Repair Her Crushed Wrist

- A woman who was involved in an accident 17 years ago said the fatal crash rendered her left wrist useless but her father's bone revived it

- According to the unidentified woman, her father and her brother were also involved in the accident, but the former didn't survive it

- When her father died, all his organs were donated except his bone which she said her mother kept

A woman has recounted how her father's bone saved her wrist from being useless after she was involved in a fatal car accident during her teenage years.

The unidentified woman, her father and her brother were all in the vehicle when the accident occurred. But while she and her brother survived the accident, her father did not make it.

She said:

"The entire front of our car was crushed. My first thought was my hands. I had a piano competition coming up, so I looked down at my hands. One of them started to crumble before my eyes."

The woman said when her father died, all his organs were donated except his bone which her mother kept.

"The only thing my Mom reserved was his bone. She doesn’t remember why-- but she asked them to set aside some bone."

She said she would end up crying whenever she tried to play the piano with her right hand because her left hand had been rendered useless by the accident.

According to her, she went through different surgeries but all to no avail. Doctors would later recommend bone transplant.

She said:

"Only then did my mother remember my father’s bones. When we grafted his bone onto my wrist, the blood started to flow. My hand came back to life. And I could play again."

In a previous report by Briefly.co.za, a young Nigerian lady identified as Juliet Nlemadim died days before her wedding which was slated for December 30.

The disclosure was made by a Facebook user, Achor Goddey, who expressed sadness over the demise of the young lady.

According to Achor, Juliet called him days before her demise to inform him of her wedding. He said he promised the young lady that he was going to play a vital role in the wedding ceremony.
