Bongani Zungu's market value is taking a big blow due to the fact that he is getting minimum game time with Scottish side Rangers FC. The young South African player is now worth an estimated R22million.

This is shockingly low considering the player was worth a whopping R65 million during his peak in 2018/2019. His low game time, which is an unfortunate part of Coach Steven Gerrard’s plan for his teams' success, has cost him gravely.

Since joining the Rangers on a loan term basis from SA team Mamelodi Sundowns, Zungu has played a collective of 138 minutes for the team and has appeared 9 times in the league all of which he was benched.

The South African reports that the drop in his value may do him good as he will now be the center of attention for various top teams who're looking to acquire a player with his talents and ability for less money.

Meanwhile, South Africans stay amped for Zungu's international deal, below are some of the comments they have shared with the player:

@RFC1872II said for Zungu's last match:

"Played great today. Keep working hard."

In other Briefly.co.za sports news, outspoken former Kaizer Chiefs player Junior Khanye has asked the team's mid-fielder Siphelele Ntshangase to leave the team. According to Khanye, Ntshangase is under too much pressure at Kaizer Chiefs and will fair better playing for another team such as Chippa United, Black Leopards, or even AmaZulu.

Speaking candidly during a recent interview, Khanye said that Ntshangase, who has made only 5 appearances on the field for Kaizer Chiefs in all their competitions this season, does not have a future with the team and should rather seek greener pastures elsewhere.

"He can even go back to Baroka because those coaches there also believe in ball players. To be honest‚ he doesn’t have a future at Chiefs because he has been sitting there for a long time and nothing has happened."
