Biden affirmed that his administration will borrow much from the former president Barack Obama whom he served as his vice president for two terms which ended in 2017.

In his interview with The People published on Wednesday, February 3, the president reassured the Americans that his leadership style will be extremely different from his predecessor Donald Trump.

"No one in our family and extended family is going to be involved in any government undertaking or foreign policy. And nobody has an office in the place. They always have access to Pop and Nana but nobody will have an office," he stated.

It should be remembered that Trump close family members held key positions in his administration which saw his daughter Ivanka become his adviser to the ex-president.

Ivanka's husband Jared Kushner was also employed as an assistant and senior adviser to his father-in-law, the couple reportedly took no salary.

Ivanka and Kushner had White House roles since the early months of Trump’s presidency, the former formally occupying her position in March 2017.

The advisory role resulted in Ivanka having her own staff and office in the West Wing of the White House.

Kushner took the oath office in just days after Trump’s inauguration and would become a leading figure in the government response to COVID-19 and key foreign policy initiatives.

Kushner’s appointment came after the Justice Department wrote a memo concluding that the White House was exempt from violating federal anti-nepotism laws.
