Serena Williams is one of the many celebrities who have headed online to publicly show support for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry after the former royals did an interview with Oprah Winfrey and revealed a number of their struggles while serving in the royal family.

"Meghan Markle, my selfless friend, lives her life - and leads by example - with empathy and compassion. She teaches me every dat what it means to be truly noble. Her words illustrate the pain and cruelty she's experienced." wrote Williams.

"Truth to power. This is the kind of change driven by women supporting each other."

Briefly.co.za previously reported that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently did an exclusive interview with TV giant, Oprah Winfrey. This will be the very first television interview the couple has done since they shocked the world and stepped away from their royal obligations for good.

In a short snippet of the highly-anticipated interview, which was shared on Twitter by CBS, Prince Harry reveals that he has harboured fears that his mother, Princess Diana's horrible car crash may materialise and repeat itself in his and Meghan's life.
