Jacob Zuma: ConCourt Affidavit Due, Expected to Meet with ANC Top 6

Former president Jacob Zuma needs to file his answering affidavits to the Constitutional Court for his contempt of court case today, 8 March. At the same time, Zuma is reportedly set to meet the ANC's Top 6 today.

The Zondo Commission took Zuma to court for violating the court order to follow the summons to appear before the Commission. The Commission stated that they want the former president to be jailed for two years.

Reports say that the ANC Top 6 would be meeting with the former president about the party's renewal programme and Zuma's refusal to appear before the Zondo Commission.

A report by IOL stated that many people have met with Zuma and since the meetings. His eldest son, Edward, stated that they (the family) had advised Zuma against appearing before the Commission.

SABC reported that the hearing has been set for 25 March and that the Minister of Police and National Commissioner of Police are named as respondents in the case against the former president.

Zuma is set to appear before a virtual session of the ConCourt to hear the application by the Zondo Commission against him.

Recently, Briefly.co.za reported that the former president had another visitor at his home in Nkandla, Hlaudi Motsoeneng. Motsoeneng, from the African Content Movement (ACM), joined Zuma for a cup of tea.

He has been a strong supporter of Zuma. Motsoeneng was the former Chairperson of the SABC when Zuma was in power. Zuma’s daughter Duduzile shared some snaps of Hlaudi and Zuma sharing a special moment. The details of the meeting were not revealed. Duduzile wrote:
