AmaZulu Royals: King's Wife Seeks Half of Estate in Court Battle

There have been 'urgent' court papers brought to the Pietermaritzburg High Court by late AmaZulu King Goodwill Zwelithini's eldest wife, Queen Sibongile Dlamini. The Queen is seeking to inherit 50% of the late King's estate.
The King had allegedly given his other wife, Queen Mantfombi Dlamini Zulu, full control of his estate. She unfortunately passed away on Thursday. Queen Sibongile is now challenging the authenticity of the King's will.
Queen Sibongile allegedly stated that she and the King controlled the estate, which involves around three million hectares of land.

According to IOL, the court affidavit is 35 pages long. Queen Sibongile alleged that she was abducted at the age of 20 and forced to marry the King. In the affidavit, the Queen alleges that she and the King jointly owned the estate and by right, she owns half.
The Queen believes that the King's brother Prince Mbonisi Zulu should have been placed on the throne per the wishes of the Royal family. The report continued by saying that Queen Sibongile stated that the KZN Premier's office, which holds the records of the King's blood relatives and assets, should make the list public.
The Witness reported that there had been rumours that late Queen Regent Mantfombi had been served the court papers while battling illness in hospital, however, this has yet to been confirmed.
Previously, Briefly News reported that a fierce battle is being waged over who will succeed the late King. The fight to decide who takes the throne has gone to the Pietermaritzburg High Court. MaDlamini, Zwelithini's first wife, is challenging the will, which dictates who will take the throne.
Initial rumours had hinted at the escalation in the battle of succession. These have now been confirmed. MaDlamini is contesting the validity of the traditional marriages that took place after a civil one.
