Kenyan Man Heartbroken after Wife Squanders R280K He Toiled for in Qatar to Build House

A man identified as Issa is deeply hurt after coming home only to realise that his wife had spent their R280K savings.

Issa's wife was only one who could withdraw R280K

Speaking in an interview, Issa revealed that he had been employed in Qatar for a five-year duration. Throughout this time, he consistently sent money back home to support his beloved wife.

"My wife is the only one who could withdraw money from the account, which had over KSh 2.4 million. My target was to build a house for my mum, then build mine later.

"I got shocked when I came back to Kenya only to find that she had spent all the savings. I asked my wife where she had kept the money and she said that she had paid school fees for her brother."

Issa lies about being in Qatar

Issa disclosed that he preferred to keep his pursuit of better opportunities in Qatar a secret from his family.

"They kept asking where I was, but I would tell them that was working in Mombasa."

Despite the devastating loss, Issa is relieved that he never used to send all his money to the account.

Man accuses wife of squandering R280K

Elsewhere, an African man narrated how his wife squandered R235K meant for the purchase of plots of land. Disappointed by his wife's action, the man said he sent money to his younger brother to acquire three plots of land.

The man also shared his wife's reaction after she found out he sent his younger brother more money for land.
