Cristiano Ronaldo is famous for being a big spender who lives a life full of luxury and he is worth it as one of one of the richest footballers ever.

The Portuguese captain recently reached the billion dollar mark and alongside other top sportsmen, including Tiger Woods and Conor McGregor, have splashed cash on yachts.

These superstars prefer to have theirs than to charter and they even go further by spending tens of thousands of pounds weekly just on travels and relaxation.

Ronaldo

In June 2020, the multiple Ballon d’Or winner splashed £5.5 million on the Azimut Grande to have his personal yacht.

The yacht, which boasts five luxury cabins, was built right inside the Versilia shipyards of Azimut-Benett as it is also fitted with six exotic and well-decorated bathrooms.

According to SunSport, there are two relaxation areas as well as a lounge. It also has a lavish dining room. Ronaldo took his family, including his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez, to sail on the yacht along the Tyrrhenian coast.

Conor McGregor

Conor recently purchased the rare Lamborghini yacht worth £2.7 million; a Tecnomar 63 which is branded the 'Supercar of the Sea'.

The UFC legend bought the 12th edition of the yacht which has only 63 manufactured. While showing off the yacht, he wrote:

"Lamborghini’s first entry into the Sport Yacht World comes in the form of this 63foot, 4000bhp, duel engine, twin turbo, rocket ship!"

Tiger Woods

The golf icon named his “dinghy” yacht Privacy and costs £1.5 million a year to run. It measures an incredible 6,500 sq ft and can sleep 10 guests in five state rooms.

It is also fitted with an exotic jacuzzi which can take up to eight people. The 155ft vessel also has a three-person elevator as well as a fully-equipped kitchen. Unsurprisingly, it costs £1.5 million a year to run.

Rafa Nadal

He is famous for being a seaman, spending £4.5 million on a customised 80 Sunreef Power catamaran.

The vessel has a jet ski garage, boasting incredible an amazing waterfall-fed bar pool. It has an en-suite bathroom with a shower, a spacious closet and a desk.

Michael Jordan

He is referred to as the richest sports star ever who is said to be worth around £1.5 billion - Jordan wasn't going to miss out on owning a yacht.

Chicago Bulls legend Jordan has a Viking Sportfish 80 that cost around £6 million.

Greg Norman

The Australian golfer owns the world’s largest privately owned aluminium and composite yacht at 228 feet. In 2004, Norman sold it for an outrageous £54million.

Meanwhile, Briefly.co.za earlier reported that Neymar is one superstar that loves to be stylish and classy; he is rich as he remains the player with the most expensive transfer in football history having moved from Spanish club Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain with a shocking fee of €222 million in 2017.
