Currently causing a buzz on social media is a video of a bunch of polo shirts at a shopping mall selling for an interesting amount.

In the video posted by @emeraldsfashionblog, the multicoloured shirts appear to be heavily ripped around the sleeves and the lower part.

The price tag attached to the product named 'Thrashed Polo' shows it is retailing for $90, which is about R1400.

A while ago, social media users buzzed with mixed reactions following Balenciaga's latest campaign, which features destroyed shoes going on sale.

For their new Paris sneakers campaign, the luxury fashion house released an exaggerated version of the distressed shoes.

Paper reports that according to a release, the still-life portraits of the extremely dirty shoes are simply meant to suggest that the new Paris sneakers "are meant to be worn for a lifetime."

Italian luxury fashion house, Dolce & Gabbana, continues to create interesting pieces that are more often than not, conversation starters.

One of their footwear creations seems to have caught the eyes of social media users.

The 'Cardinale Jewel Jacquard stiletto knee boots' feature different-coloured jewel studs. According to Modesens, the boots are retailing for a whopping R100 000 (about $10,700).
