Cougar problems: Young men reveal what it’s like dating older women

Men in Mzansi opened up about their experiences of dating older woman after one social media user shared his hilarious experience. The man recalled how he dated a woman who was six years older than him when he was nineteen, and once overhead his bae’s friend say “19 is so quiet today”, reducing him to just his age.

Feeling his pain, social media users shared their own experiences, leaving Mzansi in stitches and with a little more insight into what it’s like to date an older woman.

One man shared that he once dated a woman ten years his senior who disrespected him, causing them to break up. He says she called him ‘Ben10’ which agitated him because the woman was always broke and used his money.

Twitter user, Brett Rogers, wrote that when he was 21 years old and dating a 27-year-old woman, she refused to hold his hand in public because she was ashamed of being seen with a kid. Brett had a positive attitude about the whole ordeal, and said that he understood that woman must be given a lot more grief about younger men, in the “broader context”.

Men also got to hear from the other side of the table, when one lady tweeted that she calls her friend’s bae ‘Teenager’ because he is five years younger.

One man who has pressumedly been burnt before, told the lady to Respect him and grow up”. Feeling as though the situation was getting a little tense, a couple of users told him it’s not so deep, Briefly.co.za found.
