Alma Fleischman had a terrible experience when her car tyre burst catastrophically on the N3. She was not sure if she would be able to change it herself.
Fortunately for her, Xolani and Ollie stopped to help her. Their kind actions restored Alma's faith in humanity.
She shared her experience in the #ImStaying group on Facebook.
"Today I had my #ImStaying moment. Had a burst tyre on the N3 and Xolani & Ollie assisted. Thank you so much!! You are part of the true South African kindness that we know and love!!"
Social media users shared their reactions to the touching story on Facebook:
"Lovely story, but I think when you own a vehicle and drive, try to familiarise yourself with how to change a flat, it will stand you in good stead!"
Louise Andrea Cooke:
"Yasas! That tyre is finished. God is faithful. I'm so so glad u safe. Thank you to our heroes! Keep safe."
"Lucky you to ‘meet’ Xolani and Ollie in this way !!!!! !!!"
Earlier, Briefly News reported that another story of a Good Samaritan who actually went out of his way to inspire and help someone in Johannesburg is becoming a hit on social media.
According to a post shared by Benedict Shawn Little via ImStaying Facebook page, a man came from nowhere to help ease his stress whilst looking for a photocopy just outside the Randburg traffic department.
He says he wanted to make a photocopy of a learner’s licence and as he was struggling, a man came up with a plan and made means for him to get the copy as quickly as possible.
In other news, having someone there to offer you a hand when you need it the most is super amazing. A young man recently received help from a kind-hearted Bolt driver who came to assist him to change a tyre after he had to both take care of his child and change the tyre by himself.
"Got a tyre puncture on the freeway. The minute the car stopped Mihla started crying so I had to change the tire with her strapped to me. A kind Taxify @Boltapp_za driver named Caiphus Sebake saw how difficult this was carrying tyres and a baby and stopped to help me out," wrote.
