Social media users were in for a double dose of comedy when 2 controversial tweets were shared recently.

The first was shared by twitter user, Kent (@uhkent), with the caption: “The lifestyle I want and deserve.”

The 2 photos revealed a young man with another male, who is considerably older.

Some tweeps responded asking if they were father-and-son pics but it emerged that the 2 are in a relationship.

Many were quick to mock the young man and his sugar daddy.

However, if that tweet got a reaction, it was nothing compared to the one in response to a tweet by twitter user, Mary G Smith (@marygsmith81).

Mary shared the same tweet but added a caption of her own: “This is what I love to see. A father teaching his young son how to propose to his girlfriend. Someone give him the father of the year award. Bravo.”

Her tweet went viral with more than 140 000 likes and 1 200 comments.

Tweeps were witty in their response and some genuinely believed the twitter user had misjudged the situation.

However, it soon emerged that the account was created by someone in favour of the gay and lesbian community but even she mocked the huge age gap between the 2 men.

Briefly.co.za gathered that age is never just a number, irrespective of sexual orientation.
