A video has gone viral, but for the wrong reasons, to a certain extent.
In it, a man can be seen going down on one knee as he pops the question to the love of his life.
The woman is overcome with emotion, but accepts the proposal and the couple engage in a warm embrace.

Onlookers can also be seen and heard in the background as they cheer the couple on.
Twitter user MbusoWeNtandoYeningi (@MbusoNkabz) shared the video via Twitter and explained that the proposal took place at Southgate mall in Johannesburg.
Briefly.co.za noted that the video went viral, but not everyone was feeling it.
Many tweeps slammed the couple for trying to mimic the epic "KFC" proposal.

Leonard Leo Moloele (@leo_moloele) felt it was staged:
"Please stop this nonsense of acting at the malls. There can only be one genuine proposal which is the #KFCProposal Look at the hand he’s even putting the “ring” on."
Beth (@beth43397695) also felt there was a hidden agenda:
"Another KFC type of proposal........looking forward to mahala sponsored wedding, honeymoon, gifts galore."
Kgothiie (@kgotthi) shared similar sentiments:
