Some people are just born to be educators. Their love and passion for kids are something wonderful and they help form the youth of Mzansi into exceptional adults.
One principal, Gundo Mmbi Gee, showed South Africans what a great leader looks like. After finding out a Grade 1 pupil was heartbroken because a fellow pupil declined to be her friend, Gundo reached out to the little girl.
She revealed on Facebook that she decided to write the girl a letter and asked her to be friends.
Gundo captioned the Facebook post:
"Fikile is my Grade 1 scholar. She asked one of the kids to be her best friend and they said 'no' because they already had a best friend. She was very sad and crying. So I have decided to put myself out there and ask her to be my friend. Let’s hope she will say YES!!!"
The letter read:
"I hope you are well. I am writing this letter to ask you to be my friend. I spoke to your teachers and they told me how similar we are.
"I want to be your friend because you are a hard worker, you are kind and very smart. I know that you are very cool and believe that being being your friend will also make me cool.
"Please do accept my request and be my friend. From your school principal Ms Mmbi."
