Zee WA GA Tee (MamaMbali) took to the Facebook group #ImStaying to share her inspirational story about how she helped a man get a job with R2.
She revealed that a man came into her shop asking for R1 to make copies, she gave him R2, he thanked her profusely.
A few days later he came into the shop and asked if she remembered him, he reminded her that she had leant him R2.
He let her know that thanks to her generosity he was able to get a job and he'd just signed the contract.
She was at a loss for words at how R2 had changed someone's life. She gave him R20 so he could get a drink on the way home.
"A few weeks back this old man came to my work place asking for R1 to make copies n I gave him R2 and he said Dankie ngwakane(my child)."
"He was here not so long ago n he said 'I don't know if u still remember me (was quiet s I tried to remember him) he went on n said,I was here 1 day asking for R1 n u gave me R2 I was applying for a job, just wanted to tel u that I just signed a contract now,I got the job' ."
"I am lost for words,I gave him R20 to buy a drink on his way home."
Facebook users loved the story and shared their reactions in the comments section:
"That is such a beautiful story. There is just something so pleasing to help someone in need (if you are in the position to) and then even better the gratitude. It is the wish of God that we are civil and caring. "
Rinette Pieterse Swanepoel:
"So happy the money you invested, paid off so well. And it's beautiful that he remembers you who made it possible. May God continue to bless you both!"
"Wow wish everyone can do that and we will make the world a better place. Dankie, stay blessed."
Earlier, Briefly.co.za reported that a South African man with a grateful heart, Pumba Nuz Khavhagali, recently headed to Facebook's ImStaying group to share a truly touching post about a kind-hearted old lady who showed him real kindness.
In his post, Pumba explains how he went knocking at the lady's door to ask for some water. After hearing that he did not have any lunch for the day, the kind gogo then offered a taken-aback Pumba an R20 to buy himself some lunch.
"I never had a lunch box today and I went to ask for water in her house, she asked what am having for lunch and I told her I've got nothing and she gave me R20 for lunch and my day was bright. Thanks to this beautiful soul#Imstaying," wrote Pumba.
