Social media was recently thrown into mourning after popular American rapper, Earl Simmons also known as DMX died on April 9, 2021.

After the news of his death hit social media, several touching tribute poured out for the late rapper whom many said made their childhood.

Briefly News recently sighted a unique tribute done for the late rapper by a creative makeup artist identified on TikTok as Sesameslayy.

Sesame shared a video of herself with a bare face and then proceeded to play one of DMX’s hit tracks, Party Up (Up In Here).

As the music played on, the young lady transformed one half of her face with a painting of the late rapper.

She eventually changed her clothes to a more fitting black leather jacket as she eulogised the late rapper.

In the caption on her Instagram post, she prayed for the late DMX’s soul to rest in peace. See the video below:

In other news, Briefly News reported that the late DMX's family warned fans against scammers who saw his demise as an opportunity to rip them off.

Chancers on social media have created fake accounts asking for the public's assistance in covering funeral costs.

The rapper's family has warned fans to be careful because they are not looking for assistance when it comes to covering DMX's funeral.

There have also been rumours that DMX's masters have been bought by Beyoncé and Jay-Z but this was confirmed as untrue by Swizz Beatz.

“There have been a few rumours following our loved one, Earl Simmons’ passing that we’d like to clear up. No one has bought Earl’s masters. Additionally, we are not selling any merch or raising money for Earl’s funeral,” said the family in a statement.

The family reiterated that if anyone is seeking funding for DMX's funeral, the request is fake and fans should not buy into it. DMX's funeral is still currently being arranged by his family and plans for a public memorial service are being made.
