A mistake resulted in a waitress getting a nice big tip and the real story behind it is super hilarious. According to a clip that was shared on TikTok by a former waitress, she was tipped a generous 55 pounds (R1.4k) after she spilled gravy on a bride's mother-in-law.
According to @Chloe_Beee who disclosed that she was dyspraxic and therefore very clumsy, she very very briefly worked in silver service and found herself serving guests at her first and only wedding.
While doing her job she managed to spill piping hot gravy on the mother-in-law of the bride who was subsequently forced to go home and change her clothes. In the clip, she explains that the shock of the incident had left her on her wit's end.
But to her surprise, the bride came up to her and gave her the big tip after basically criticising her mother-in-law for wearing white to her wedding in the first place. Chloe also added that she and the very same bride are now very friendly with each other after everything that happened.
Her many followers had this to say:
Lexi Lee said:
"I would definitely hire you."
Anna Pearce said:
"Love this."
