A Florida toddler's exceptional talent on the football pitch landed his family in the middle of a viral controversy after police were called to his youth soccer programme in Winter Park.

Nevada, who is just three years old, plays in an under-five i9 Sports programme. His parents say that over several weeks, other parents at the club repeatedly complained about playing time and singled Nevada out. The situation escalated when a programme director called the police, citing a disturbance. The family was reportedly offered a refund and asked to leave.

Police confirmed they responded to what they described as a dispute between adults. No one was arrested, trespassed, or forced to leave, and the family cooperated fully. i9 Sports said it was aware of the incident and was investigating to understand what had occurred, adding that it takes such concerns seriously.

In an Instagram comment, Ms. Rachel did not hold back.

"I'm LIVID! Please, sports people, give him all the experiences and love," she wrote, tagging @nevadaney10 directly. She added: "We'd love to have him on our show to share his amazing skills. I need sports people to show up for him. Recently, there was a 1-year-old boy who experienced racism during a library event with a puppet, and we are showing up for him because we are puppet people. I need my sports people to show up!!! This is racist, sick, traumatising, and disgusting."
