Briefly News previously reported that her parents said Cameron had been invited to join two families on a hiking trip as part of her preparation for the Gold level of The President’s Award for Youth Empowerment.
The multi-day hike was intended to help her complete the adventurous journey requirement. Cameron’s family said she also naturally encouraged and supported younger girls who looked up to her.
