Premier Soccer League legend Peter Shalulile is urged to leave Mamelodi Sundowns for Betway Premiership rivals Kaizer Chiefs this summer.

Shalulile is one of the best strikers in the Betway Premiership, but he has had limited chances at Sundowns since the club signed Arthur Sales and Iqraam Rayners last summer.

A sports journalist agrees with a South African football legend who advised Kaizer Chiefs to sign Shalulile and Percy Tau.

“Peter Shaluile is still arguably one of the best strikers in the Betway premiership despite not being considered as a starter at Mamelodi Sundowns,” he said.
“Rayner Iqraam and Arthur Sales are being considered as better options by Miguel Cardoso, with Shaluile being relegated to the bench.
“Shalulile still has more to offer for him to be relegated to the bench at Sundowns, which is why I suggest he consider leaving for a club like Kaizer Chiefs, who don't have a better striker than him.
“Kaizer Chiefs signed some strikers recently, even this summer, but I don't think any of them are better than Shalulile.”

Anuma also explained that the move to Kaizer Chiefs would help him break Siyabonga Nomvethe’s record as the all-time highest goal scorer in the Betway Premiership’s history.

“Shalulile is closer to breaking Nomvethe’s record, and going to Kaizer Chiefs would help him achieve this as he would play more regularly,” he added.

Kaizer Chiefs signed Flavio Silva from Indonesia on a free transfer, and still got Wandile Duba and Tashreeq Morris in their squad with Glody Lilepo expected to retain his place on the wings.

Anuma pointed out why Nasreddine Nabi still needed a point man like Peter Shalulile in his team ahead of next season.

"Some of the strikers and forwards Kaizer Chiefs signed since last summer and the January transfer window are yet to prove themselves," he concluded.
"Morris is yet to score for them and Flavio Silva has been struggling in pre-season games. This is a clear sign that a need a prolific striker like Shalulile in their team if they want to compete for top four place in the Betway Premiership."
