**Tournament Background and Carling Cup Prize**

The Carling Knockout is in its fourth edition since Carling Black Label revived what was previously known as the Telkom Knockout. The competition has produced unlikely champions in recent years: Stellenbosch FC claimed their first ever trophy in the 2023 edition, while Magesi caused a major upset the following year to win their debut silverware.

Whichever club lifts the trophy this season will also earn the right to face a PSL All Star XI in the Carling Black Label Cup. That exhibition side will be assembled from PSL players and DStv Diski Challenge stars selected through a public vote by fans.
