Generations: The Legacy actress Manaka Ranaka doesn't conform to a specific culture and made this clear in her latest response to a fan on social media. Manaka was celebrating King Misizulu on Instagram and the fan asked her if she's Zulu or Tswana, to which Manaka responded:

"Ke Mo Afrika. (I am an African)."

The actress speaks IsiZulu really well which is understandable because that's the tribe her mother falls under. On the other hand, her dad is Tswana and many South Africans feel that one should represent their father's tribe more than their mom's.

Manaka doesn't want to put herself in a box and she's proudly representing both parts of her heritage. It's quite clear that she doesn't want to simply just fall under being Motswana just because that's her dad's tribe.

In a country where tribalism seems to be an issue sometimes, Manaka is making the most of who she is by celebrating both sides of her family. Her response perfectly showed that she's an African and that's what's important.
