A woman shared online how he and her now hubby got engaged after dating for one year, adding that their love story began when she responded to his Facebook direct message.
Ky Chanel posted her love story on The Marriage Club public Facebook group. She narrated how the two, despite going to the same college, never talked to each other until one day when she wrote a post online about being single and content.
Part of what she wrote online read:
"We went to college together but we did not know each other well, however, we were friends on Facebook. On February 15, 2020, he messaged me after I made a post on Facebook explaining that I was single but content and would not settle until I found the right one.
February 21, 2020, he was in my area and asked if we could meet up. I said yes and we met at Starbucks. We had the most amazing and organic conversation ever! However, I was not completely sold on giving him a chance and allowed “what if?” thoughts to consume me."
According to Ky, on February 28, 2020, the two went on their first date, and from then, she knew he was the one.
On May 25, 2020, the guy officially asked her to be his girlfriend, and a year later, on the same day, he proposed to her and asked her to marry him. She said yes.
"I am so thankful to him for courting and loving me properly. He dated me intentionally! Imagine if I would not have allowed the “what if?” thoughts to consume me? I would have missed out on an amazing man. He truly ended up being everything that I could have ever asked for! This feeling is indescribable! I’m marrying my best friend y’all! This has been the best 15 months of my life!" She added.
