SA celebrities who have been in serious car crashes and survived

Although we often think celebrities are invincible, they’re just as susceptible as the rest of us to some of life’s hardships. Today, we take a look at some local celebs who have been involved in car crashes in recent years.

Briefly.co.za takes a loOk at 4 local celebs who have been in serious crashes.

1. Khabonina Qubeka

After celebrating her mother’s birthday in 2015, the Isidingo actress was in a serious crash in the Johannesburg central business district.

Khabonina posted a photo on her Instagram page just afterwards:

2. Tumi Morake

The comedian and her family were on a their way to a getaway at Sun City when they were in a head collision.

10 passengers were injured, but fortunately, no one was seriously hurt in the December 2017 crash.

3. Nqobile Ndlovu

Nqobile was involved in a crash at Umlazi’s Mega City just outside Durban.

After the accident, which happened in July, it was reported the former Muvhango and Uzalo actress swerved out the way to avoid hitting a drunk pedestrian who was jaywalking.

4. Sbahle Mpisane

In August, news broke that fitness guru, Sbahle Mpisane, was in a serious car accident.

Sbahle was in a critical condition after her car crashed into a pole in Durban.

Briefly.co.za previously reported that it’s believed the fitness bunny was driving on Margaret Mncadi Avenue when she possibly lost control of her vehicle and hit a pole.

Reports at the time stated her car overturned and she was trapped inside.

Sbahle was treated for a number of traumatic injuries at the Netcare St Augustines Hospital. Her brother posted a video of her wishing her parents a happy wedding anniversary, but it has been removed die to severe backlash from fans.

Sbu Mpisane, her father, sent a heart-warming text out to notify everyone that she had opened her eyes shortly after the crash. Family and friends have been holding onto hope and prayers in this tough time.

Sbahle has made incredible progress and things are definitely looking up.
