As an example in Africa, Mohamad Salah was touted as the Egyptian Messi very early in his career.
This was seemingly the case with Sipho Nunens when he burst on the scene as he was dubbed a midfield genius.
Even the late Cebo Maanyapelo introduced him as “The Sensational” during radio commentary whenever Nunens touched the ball.

The youngster played with a swagger for Mamelodi Sundowns as he displayed remarkable close control and dribbling skills.
Nunens was on track to make a big impact in South African football, but ill-discipline stifled his development.

Lured by the bright lights of Jozi, partying and alcohol became his focus, as opposed to football.
