Amapiano royalty is meeting dancehall legend this summer. South African DJ duo the Scorpion Kings have been confirmed as the supporting act for Sean Paul's Cape Town concert, and fans are already buzzing about what promises to be one of the biggest live shows of the year.

The Grammy Award-winning Jamaican superstar will headline at GrandWest Grand Arena on 3 December 2026, with DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small, collectively known as the Scorpion Kings, set to warm up the stage ahead of him. The Cape Town date forms part of a broader three-city South African tour, with Sean Paul also performing at SunBet Arena, Time Square, in Pretoria on 4 December, and Durban ICC on 6 December.

"Don't be the one watching everyone's stories wishing you had bought your tickets. Get yours NOW from R750 at blubloodtickets.com," the post read.

The Cape Town show is driven by Geely and backed by sponsors including Blu Blood, Fire Water Earth Productions, SABN, Kfm, and GrandWest. With entry-level tickets starting at R750, the event is shaping up to be one of the more accessible major concerts of the summer season.

A culture crossover

The pairing of Sean Paul with the Scorpion Kings is an intriguing one, blending two of the most influential sounds to come out of the African continent and the Caribbean, respectively. Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa have been central to amapiano's rise as a global genre, while Sean Paul remains one of dancehall's most enduring names, with decades of hits behind him.
