South African fans of neo-soul icon Jill Scott are facing disappointment after both of her upcoming local concerts were called off. Promoter Showtime Management confirmed on Monday, 19 October 2026, that the two November shows have been scrapped, citing "unforeseen circumstances" without elaborating further.

Scott had been set to bring her To Whom This May Concern World Tour to South Africa for two highly anticipated nights. The first was booked for 7 November at SunBet Arena, Time Square in Pretoria, with the second following on 11 November at Grand Arena, GrandWest in Cape Town.

Could Jill Scott still return to South Africa?

Despite the disappointment, Showtime Management hinted that this may not be the end of Scott's South African chapter. The promoter noted that the singer's team is looking into the possibility of rescheduling future visits, though no concrete dates have been announced.

"South Africa has always held a special place in Jill's heart, and she remains committed to returning and reconnecting with her fans as soon as possible," the statement read.

Scott last performed in South Africa at the 2024 DStv Delicious Festival, and fans in the comments section expressed their disappointment at the news of the cancellation. Given the warmth she received on that occasion, local supporters will be hoping her return comes sooner rather than later.
