Kabelo Mabalane runs from Joburg to Durban to feed 10 000 kids

- Kabelo Mabalane ran from Johannesburg to Durban in order to raise money to feed hungry children for a whole year

- The Kwaito legend ran the distance with his coach Peteni Kuzwayo and together with Old Mutual they managed to raise a whopping R6 million

- The mission took 17 days to complete and saw the pair run over 600km

Kabelo Mabalane ran from Johannesburg to Durban to raise R6 million to help 10 000 children not go to bed hungry for one whole year.

The Kwaito legend and his coach Peteni Kuzwayo completed the physical feat and collaborated with Old Mutual in order to raise the R6 million, R3.2 million of which was raised on the last leg of the mission.

The pair then embarked on a 17-day journey, which saw them run over 600km from Johannesburg to Durban under the banner of #HopeWithEveryStep.

Kabelo also took to Instagram to post a picture of how he and Peteni looked on the last stretch of the journey which started at 3 o'clock in the morning. The celeb posted:

"The look on your face when you’re about to go to war. This was the morning (3 am) of the last stretch to Durban on our 600km mission. When you go to war chances are you might die so what I learned was you can’t threaten a dead man with death."
