Having a wedding on a budget does not necessarily mean having to give up on the quality of the event.

It does, however, put more pressure on planning how to use the money available. A bride who recently found this to be true is a woman by the name of Christina Williams.

The lovely woman, who resides in Kenya, expressed that she wanted a beautiful wedding but also one that was simple, affordable and not too harsh on her pockets.

Christina announced on Facebook that not only had she met her own intentions but that she had found the best designer in town who made her wedding dress for free.

The newlywed’s mother did it all, from designing the beautiful gown to sewing it in time for her daughter's special day.

Whenever Christina’s mum needed the bride to do fittings, she always called her home. Then the talented seamstress would make alterations and go back to work.

Hilariously, anytime Christina did not want her husband to be to see her dress, the lady would hide in their children’s bedroom to try on the piece.

It was a white, mermaid shaped gown that was fitted with pieces of traditional fabric on the neck, sleeve and trail. The final result was remarkable.
