In the wake of the legend's accident, the 45-year-old golf icon not only received messages of support from the sports fraternity but from former United States presidents such as Donald Trump and Barack Obama, among others.

The lanky golfer also conveyed a message of support to the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center as well as Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, his medical team as well as his fans for their good wishes. He concluded:

“I am so grateful for the outpouring of support and encouragement that I have received over the past few weeks."

Having also experienced a number of back and knee injuries in his career, the golfing great has shown unbelievable character in the midst of adversity.

The 41-time European Tour winner is known for his remarkable comeback in 2019 when he scooped his fifth Master Title, thus smashing a record that ran for over a decade.

Despite all his setbacks, the Cypress, California-born golfer is touted as the most successful sportsman in his era as he has bagged 15 major titles.

The feat means he is the only professional to have won all four major golf titles in succession and many of his fans are definitely waiting to see him back in due course.

Meanwhile, media reports suggest that the Los Angeles Police Department has launched a probe into the data from the black box recorder of the car that was driven by Woods.

However, it is said that the LAPD suspects no foul play as numerous reports indicate that they have said the incident was an accident.

In other news from Briefly.co.za, this website previously reported that the global icon was in California for a two-day content shoot with Golf Digest/GOLFTV.

The accident came after hosting the PGA Tour's Genesis Invitational as he was spotted with the likes of Dwayne Wade and David Spade – he was giving course lessons from celebrities.
